After you have followed the on screen instructions and installed Compariter Alerts, in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen you'll see this icon

Click on the Download icon and select Run. You may get a warning message from Windows saying the publisher cannot be recognised. Choose Run again.

If you right button click on the icon you'll see a pop up menu appear which gives you various controls. They are...
"Add New Alert Message Source"
This allows you to use Compariter Alerts to receive RSS alerts from other sources, BBC news for instance.
"Alert Message Source Manager" When you first installed Compariter Alerts it will automatically contain four alert sources for your country. Creative alerts, PR alerts, Event alerts and Training alerts. By selecting this menu choice you will be presented with a Manager which allows you to manage these sources. You could select any one and delete it for instance if you were not interested in particular alerts.
"Check for New Alerts" This makes Compariter Alerts have a quick look to see if there is anything you haven't seen yet.
"Show Last Schedule Update" This shows the results of last schedule update. If there were no new items fetched in last scheduled check then you should see a blank list
"Preferences" Change how often you check for Alerts and what happens when you double click on your icon.
"Visit our Website" Allows you to come and visit us!
"About..." Tells you a bit about the Compariter Alerts you have installed.
"Exit" Allows you to switch Compariter Alerts off.
"Uninstall" If you wish to unistall the program go to your Start menu, find Compariter Alerts under All Programs then select the option to uninstall.
